AI Agents vs. Memecoin Bots: Smarter Copy Trading

Memecoins blew up after the $TRUMP coin craze. Copy trading made it easy to follow smart money, but it’s risky: manipulative bots, flaky KOLs, and execution lag can drain gains.

Researchers built an explainable multi-agent AI that works like an asset-management team. Specialized agents split the job—screen projects, flag manipulative bot activity, pick credible KOL wallets, and decide allocations—then coordinate their calls. Using few-shot chain-of-thought prompts, the system reads on-chain and social signals and explains its moves.

On data from 1,000 memecoin projects, it hit 73% precision in spotting higher-quality projects.
It reached 70% precision in selecting profitable KOL wallets; those wallets netted ~$500,000 across the sample.
