PersonaDual: AI that knows when to personalize—and when not to

Personalized answers can feel helpful—but they can also bend the facts. PersonaDual is a new framework that lets one model switch between objective reasoning and personalized reasoning on the fly, based on the question and context.

Two minds in one: the model learns both reasoning styles via supervised fine-tuning.
Smart switching: a reinforcement-learning method (DualGRPO) trains the model to pick the right mode at the right time.
Results: on both objective and personalized benchmarks, PersonaDual keeps the benefits of personalization while sharply reducing interference—approaching interference-free performance—and even uses helpful personal signals to solve objective tasks better.

Why it matters: users get tailored responses when it helps, and fact-first answers when it counts—without juggling multiple models or prompts.
