What if you and an AI could sketch together?

Coevo is an online platform where humans and artificial agents co-design shapes to solve different tasks. The big idea: give people and AIs a shared set of design tools and a common “language,” so both can create, learn, and iterate in the same workspace.

By aligning how we represent and edit designs, Coevo aims to improve knowledge transfer, make AI suggestions more understandable, and keep humans in control during co-creation.

The paper outlines the platform’s main pieces and proposes a human-centered design language to support meaningful collaboration—so AI becomes a creative partner, not a black box.
